The Bear Grylls Adventure Reopens
26 June 2020
NEC Campus neighbour, The Bear Grylls Adventure, will reopen to the public from Saturday 4th July for guests with pre-booked activities and experiences.
Following the latest UK Government announcement, the majority of the Adventure Activity Centre’s indoor and outdoor activities will once again be open to visitors, giving guests the opportunity to try one of the many unique experiences on site. Visitors can tackle Europe’s tallest High Ropes, feel the rush of freefall in the iFLY Indoor Skydiving wind tunnel or try their hand at beating Bear Grylls’ record time on the Royal Marines-inspired Assault Course, to which each visitor has unlimited access during their visit.
The Cage Snorkel experience will also reopen from the 4th of July, giving those who take part a unique look into the attraction’s custom tropical tank. The Bear Grylls Adventure tank is home to almost 1,000 creatures, including Black Tip Reef Sharks, Nurse Sharks and Cownose Rays, all of whom have remained onsite throughout lockdown, cared for by a small team of dedicated Aquarists who have provided their individual food requirements and carefully monitored the water quality in order to keep them fit and healthy.
To be one of the first to return to The Bear Grylls Adventure on the 4th July, pre-booking your adventure online at beargryllsadventure.com will be essential due to reduced capacities on each activity to comply with Government social distancing guidelines. For those who may want to visit later in the year, activity gift vouchers are also available online at a 20% discount, which are valid for 12 months.
On arrival, visitors will see significant and reassuring new safety measures in place such as contactless temperature checking before entry, new routes around the attraction, new queuing formats, staff wearing Personal Protective Equipment and enhanced cleaning, in alignment with Government guidelines.
General Manager Marc Bell says: “We are thrilled to be reopening from the 4th of July, and the team have done an amazing job while we have been closed to ensure the new safety measures are in place across the attraction. We’re confident that we can offer the amazing adventure experience that we know our visitors love, in line with best practice advice on social distancing and hygiene. We can’t wait to reopen our doors and begin making memories with our guests again!”
COVID-19 secure processes in place
A number of key processes have been implemented to ensure visitor safety, including:
- Social distancing measures applied across all areas of the attraction with modified group sizes and frequencies for each activity
