TTF wins Outstanding Attitude Award
14 March 2019The Ticket Factory has won the ‘Ticketing Without Barriers Award – Ticketing/Tech Company’ at the Outstanding Attitude Awards 2019.
The Outstanding Attitude Awards, run by disability-led charity Attitude is Everything, celebrate excellence in live event accessibility and highlight best practice across the whole event industry. The winners were selected by an independent panel of music fans, artists, journalists and other industry experts.
Midlands-based business The Ticket Factory was recognised for its pioneering partnership with Nimbus Disability’s CredAbility Access Card, developing and implementing a free registration service which allows customers to link their access requirements to their Ticket Factory account. This makes it simpler for customers to choose the best tickets to meet their requirements and to book their own tickets online.
The scheme is currently available across NEC Group’s Arena Birmingham and Resorts World Arena, with plans to expand to other venues in the future.
Customers using the service are also assured of complete privacy over their details as Nimbus Disability, an organisation run by disabled people, handles all information securely and safely without The Ticket Factory having cause to see the reasons behind why customers need accessible seating options. After registering their access requirements via Nimbus’ CredAbility Access Card scheme, customers are given a unique registration number to input on their Ticket Factory account. If they choose, they can then upgrade to obtain the full CredAbility Card, which is accepted across the UK as proof of access requirements.
Once access requirements are registered, customers are then able to make future bookings more quickly and efficiently as their details are already stored on their account.
Gareth Coleman, Operations Director at The Ticket Factory, said: “We are thrilled to have won this award which underlines The Ticket Factory’s commitment to improving the ticket buying experience for our customers with access needs.
“We have a duty of care to every one of our customers, and we firmly believe that disabled customers should have the same choice and convenience as our customers that don’t have access requirements. We’re really looking forward to rolling the scheme out for more clients over the coming months.”
With over 40 years’ experience in the live events industry as one of the UK‘s leading national ticket agents, The Ticket Factory sells over 2.5 million tickets per year for everything from concerts to visitor attractions. Selling via its website and UK based contact centre - handling more than 500k calls per year - it is the official box office for the NEC Group, and services an impressive client roster.
