record year for famous flower shows

03 August 2015

The Ticket Factory is celebrating after reporting a substantial increase in web performance and tickets sales for the Royal Horticultural Society’s (RHS) shows in the first half of 2015.

The leading ticketing agency, which is part of the NEC Group, sold more than 462,000 tickets for the RHS’s shows via its fully responsive website, call centre and full box office support solution.

Investments and improvements in the online customer journey have shown that there is a 12.35 per cent increase in conversion rates compared to 2014, which equates to a 5.15 per cent increase in total sales through The Ticket Factory website.

As part of the full box office support programme, The Ticket Factory implemented a new scanning system at the RHS’s flagship Chelsea Flower Show, which is their busiest show of the season.

The Ticket Factory has committed to investing in the customer’s online ticket purchase journey, to reduce checkout steps, promote memberships and gift vouchers and make the whole experience fast and simple. It’s played an integral part in helping drive more visitors to RHS Malvern Spring Festival, RHS Chelsea, RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, RHS Cardiff and RHS Flower Show Tatton Park.

Caroline D’Ambra, Shows Ticketing and Customer Care Manager, said: “We have had a fantastic year so far, with exceptional visitor numbers. With the full box office support we have received from The Ticket Factory we have been able to concentrate on planning our shows so visitors can enjoy the full experience including viewing the award winning gardens, speaking to experts for hints and tips on how to grow better produce, and listening to the talks and demonstrations, whilst being confident the ticketing is in safe hands.

“We are now looking forward to the remaining shows we have coming up as we move into autumn and trust that these will be equally as successful.”

The Ticket Factory’s Sales Director, Sarah Whittaker, said: “We are delighted that the RHS has seen an increase in visitors. We will now continue to support RHS with their show objectives by pushing towards even bigger goals next year thanks to further improvements we’ll be making to the online customer journey, marketing support and a greater drive for Group sales. Not only RHS, but all of our clients see the benefits almost immediately.

“I’m looking forward to our future relationship with the RHS and know that they will continue to provide their show visitors with an amazing experience along with exciting shows such as the forthcoming London Harvest Festival.”

Tickets to the Festival, which takes place on the 6th October 2015 and 7th October 2015, are available now from The Ticket Factory website. Advance tickets are just £5. On October 6th there is a late evening event with tickets for £10 including a fabulous Midnight Apothecary Cocktail.
