NEC make the miaList

05 November 2018

The NEC were recognised in both the individual and team categories at the prestigious Meetings Industry Association (MIA) awards, known at the miaList, with the NEC Marketing team being named Team of the Year in the conference category, and NEC Senior Account Manager for Conferences, Kelly Moore, earning a place on the prestigious miaList.

This year, the judges were overwhelmed with a huge number of nominations for the miaList – which recognises the incredible and inspiring talent within the conference industry – and had the difficult task of shortlisting to a top 24. These candidates then underwent a tough two stage interview process, before the final top 10 were announced at the event at The Tower Hotel in London on Friday, 2nd November.

Speaking of her win Kelly said, “I’ve worked my way up in the industry at the NEC over the last 12 years and this has to be a one of my top highlights. It is a complete honour to be on the miaList with some of the amazing talent out there in the industry.”

The NEC Marketing were shortlisted from all entrants to a final four, winning on the day by beating out competition to be named maiList Team of the Year in the conference category.

NEC Marketing Director, Martin Clarke said, “I’m extremely proud of the team. We were up against some tough competition within the conference sector, so this award reflects the hard work delivered on a daily basis by the team. We know that everyone we want to talk to is extremely busy, and my team manage to cut through that noise with creative campaigns, clever B2B initiatives and newsworthy communications to keep raising the profile of the NEC within the events industry.”
