ICC Certificate of Excellence!

We’re pleased to announce that the ICC has been recognised with a Certificate of Excellence for the fourth consecutive year, based on the consistently great reviews we’ve earned on the world’s largest travel site!

Only a small percentage of businesses achieve this accolade, as to qualify you need to maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and have been listed on the site for the full 12-month qualifying period.

We believe that great events have the power to change, to inspire and to connect people and ideas in a uniquely collaborative way.  On average, we host around 400 events a year and 350,000 delegate days from across the globe in the process.  Our multi-million-pound investment programme has gone from strength to strength, with the key aim of enhancing the customer experience, of which this accolade is a great reflection of our efforts.  The initial programme of works included hall refurbishments, and after its success, we’ve continued with an ongoing maintenance programme.

Creating an engaging sense of arrival for delegates, new signage and digital screens have now been installed - both in the iconic ICC Mall that runs through the centre of the venue and with blade screens that can be used throughout the venue - whilst enhancements have also been made to the Wi-Fi offering, lighting and bathroom facilities.

The fact we’re bang in the middle of Birmingham is also a major plus point; our handy central location and unrivalled transport connectivity means getting to us is a breeze from all corners of the UK.  We’re at the heart of the UK road network, just a ten-minute walk from Birmingham New Street Station and we have Birmingham Airport down the road.  Visitors and delegates can reach their destination with ease, whilst organisers can be confident that their events will grow in a venue where anything is possible.

And last but not least our people are the heart and soul of the ICC. The team’s spirited approach in bringing people together and making events happen is extremely refreshing, making the ICC somewhere that events really take flight. 

Since 2011, the Certificate of Excellence honours hospitality businesses that deliver consistently great service across the world. This designation is presented to approximately 10% of total businesses on TripAdvisor that have consistently achieved great reviews over the past year. There is no application process for the Certificate of Excellence, and the achievement is earned over time.
